About Us
The Mobile Botanical Gardens is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and we rely on the financial support of the local community and our visitors to continue our mission of preserving the natural aspects and showcasing the cultivated collections of our 100-acre site located at 5151 Museum Drive, Mobile, AL 36608.
Established in 1974 by a dedicated group of horticulturists to preserve the natural aspects of the local environment, the Gardens have grown and developed into a garden oasis for the community.
Our fundraising activities include Garden Memberships, Donations, Corporate Sponsorship, and Plant Sales - by pre-selling online we can custom order plants from local growers, and avoid the expense of maintaining unsold plants.
We are unable to mail or deliver plant orders - ALL plants sold need to be picked up from the Gardens, usually from the Market Place at the east end of our main Parking Plaza. Dates and times of Pick Up will be displayed on the main pages and/or the product listings. We can make arrangements for pick up on an individual basis if needed.
