Join New York Times Best Selling Author, Kathryn Aalto, for a day of nature writing, essay prompts, impromptu writing, and a very collaborative writing experience for a limited number of attendees. Kathryn will be in Mobile for her book presentations on Thursday, March 21st, and has graciously offered to lead a full writing day as well. The writing day will include a brunchy welcome at 9am, then a morning session – break for a yummy box lunch – then resume the writing experience with an afternoon session set to conclude at 3pm.
About Kathryn Aalto: She is an American landscape designer, historian, writer, and lecturer living in Exeter, England. For the past twenty-five years, her creative practice has fused nature and culture: teaching and writing narrative nonfiction, designing gardens, and speaking about the natural world. Kathryn is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley. She has Master’s degrees in Garden History and Creative Nonfiction with a particular interest in biography. Before her expat life, she taught American Literature of Nature and Place in the Pacific Northwest. She is a member of the Association for the Study of Literature and the Environment and the Association of Writers and Writing Programs.
