Join Veronica Culberson of Honey of the Hill and learn how to create two simple beeswax crafts: food wraps and luminaries.
Beeswax food wraps are a safe and sustainable alternative for common contemporary kitchen wrappings like plastic and foil. Made from 100% cotton fabric and a few other replenishable natural ingredients, these breathable moisture-blocking barriers are convenient and good for the environment and your foods. They can be used over and over again until the coating wears off, and then you just recoat them and reuse indefinitely.
Beeswax luminaries are a fun and creative way to craft a beautifully unique “candle” while using less wax than a traditional candle. These decorative wax luminaries will hold a battery-powered tea light, allowing them to be used repeatedly for many years to come. These can make great personalized gifts for your loved ones.
Each participant will create and take home a yard's worth of fabric wax food wraps and a beeswax luminary.
